Monzo don’t care about your latest address. They could just send you a new card like all other banks do.
What they want you to do is resubscribe.
I would say it’s more to do with potential CPAs.
If I were Monzo I’d want the user’s actions to be what triggers them getting new card details so that they in turn would be the ones responsible for making sure they are updated elsewhere too.
I haven’t had a Monzo card expire yet but the usual process with other banks is they will send you out a new card in advance of the expiry of the old one and ask you to start using the new one once it arrives. Monzo could easily do similar for card swaps along with a deadline.
Or just abandon the whole stupid concept of “premium” cards and save a lot of hassle for everyone

Premium cards without premium features are just silly. Maybe if it was a precious metal or something I’d get it, but not like this lol
