On what card?
Their black, red and white card (standard?)
Thanks a lot. I have the metal and had the legacy black card before that so I was like where’s that then?
I just really don’t like a lot of Barclays branding, so not a fan of that card either. I’m not sure why though. Maybe the shade of blue
Reminds me somewhat of these guys:
In–app message.
Falling in love with the old design, the protrude part is all colour gold.
this is a very high class design in bank cards.
same as HSBC from the lion to the big logo lol
I do really like this design. I also have a soft spot for the older debit card designs that had the HSBC logo on them, though I’ve only seen photos of those.
The HSBC cards with the polygon lions changing to the flat background with huge logo is honestly the biggest downgrade in design I’ve ever seen.
Oozes quality and class for me. It looks spectacular. What about the purple ones too
A tragedy this design got scrapped.
Any ideas why they got rid of the lions?
They said need to more prominent the brand impression….( as I heard
“Expat”
No idea. There’s an example of a Hong Kong card with the lions in portrait mode:
So there’s no reason they couldn’t have kept it and also switched to portrait and incorporated the new accessibility features.
Well, there obviously was a reason. It didn’t change by accident.
I mean in terms of switching to portrait as everyone is now, as it still works in that orientation. If it was changed just to make the branding clearer it’s still a shame.
I can see it as prep for the split from the group of the Asian entity, which is what the lions represent.
That’s not the old design, that’s the current design of the gold credit card, which they’ve had for a few years.
I mean the old design of the debit card…(was like this)
Picture?
I’m not a fan of the basic Barclays card, feels super old skool.
The premier looks super nice in Apple Pay, will post a pic when the real one arrives
