Good luck. I know a lot of people use them where they struggle with the banks
what’s the news on nationwide in branch ID verification ?
couldnt go today, ill probably go tommorow morning
I’m not much older than OP and I’ve never had thoughts about fraud even when I feel jealousy
Good for you
wasnt gonna comment myself xD
Tbf I have absolutely no idea what every one I know is thinking the whole time.
@Ashton you are literally not helping in any way.
I’ve stated my advice over getting a basic account such as the coop as they let you join from 12 with more feature when you reach 16 and accept everyone and I’m just stating my opinions like a few other people have also stated throughout the whole thread
Well I reckon I’ll keep my opinions to myself.
But really, really, hope your mind reading skills extend far enough to know what they are!
Feel free to tell me your opinions
Glad to see you deleted your previous post.
Which one? It’s still there on my screen
The one where you reckoned you knew what everyone you know is thinking. And you accused the OP of money laundering when actually that was not the nature of the fraud.
He openly admitted to it. Someone using his account to transfer money in and out is money laundering it’s a money mule
This forum can sometimes be such a cesspool. Stop judging OP, it’s unhelpful and fosters a toxic environment.
And @Dslazyk I don’t think there is anymore advice anyone can give you as you’ve been provided with an exhaustive list of options which understandably with your CIFAS marker and age you haven’t had any luck with. At the end of the day you either need to contact Monzo again or raise a complaint (and escalate it to the FOS after the allotted time) and insist on alternative method of withdrawing the remaining funds in your account or find another institution that will give you an account. Nothing else can be done to speed up the process.
@Dslazyk An additional piece of advice is don’t try and open multiple accounts at the same time.
Most Basic Bank Accounts want it to be your only current account and trying to open many within a short integral interval will cause more questions.l and/or settle for a savings account in the short term
I agree. Opening multiple accounts at once can highly damage your credit score temporarily same as closing lots of accounts close together
While usually very sound advice, I wouldn’t worry about that so much for under 18s, as they won’t be able to get credit.
I don’t believe that anything is even recorded about applications for them on credit reports, so banks wouldn’t have an idea, unless they had experience with the individual.
Not every fraud involving the transfer of money is necessarily “money laundering”.
Anyway I hope you get sorted @dslazyk. From many of the things you’ve said throughout this thread you seem like a pretty enterprising lad who’s working hard and doing what he can to succeed, and just made a bad decision. Sure once this is properly behind you, you’ll get what you want and where you want to be without needing dodgy shortcuts. Best of luck.
