Good luck. You’d get a link card and you could pay in cash or cheques. Can’t complain under the circumstances

Possibly. But at least it’s a nice comprehensive list that’s easy to work through and cross off.

After that, citizens advice have assigned him a reference number so he can update them and they can advise further. They specifically mention helping with complaints too.

any luck would be so good right now

Correct me if I’m wrong me I saw a guy advertising saying you can earn between £50-5000 instantly on Snapchat (it’s obvs illegal and money laundering) but in the snapshot he put Cb Payments and I noticed that on your feed?
You haven’t fallen for one of these money schemes on insta or Snapchat have you as technical it’s highly illegal and could be the reason

UPDATE: I just read it all and noticed you have actually fallen for this so that’s the reason your account has been terminated sadly most banks will never accept people with one as its fraud and you’re lucky you haven’t been arrested

It’s because you use Coinbase and CB Payments is sure it’s against most banks T&C for crypto as a few people have stated

the crypto was all legit from coinbase, i used it for trading and got bored of it because i wasnt doing to well and ended up taking all the money out. there will be people that ask how did you manage to get a coinbase account at 16. well it was my dads. he let me use it to trade for him but thats all stopped now

The funds may have been legitimate, but the Coinbase account wasn’t yours, so that was essentially fraudulent too…

might aswell move to a third world country then ive got nothing left in england for me…

That’s fair enough that, as long as the Coinbase was in your dads name as they do a credit check when joining - the hosting payments seem absolutely fine

I hope you have the best of luck and it’s harder as you’re only 16 as some accounts require you to be 18 but do you know how long the thing is for the cifas

That’s correct it technically is fraud again

You gave away your account to allow people to be scammed and have their money stolen.

Don’t make out that what you did was minor. You were lucky not to be arrested

Keep trying to get a new account but remember how serious it is when you don’t follow the law or next time it could be worse for you

Pause for a minute - think back to when you were the OPs age - could you have seen yourself or any of your friends in this situation?
Of course you can.

its not minor i never said that what i meant is that kids should have the opportunity to open an account without parental permission or going to branch because the parents dont even know you have that and cant educate you.

im not using my age, situation or problems as reasons for doing what i did. shouldnt have happened and thats end of. kids want money to get materialistic things and i was a kid that wanted to have what most people have at school so i did what i thought needed to be done which was get money. so please atleast TRY and put yourself in my situation where you dont have what 90% of people around you have, e.g. shoes clothes phones

Not necessarily, as @Dslazyk might not be old enough to enter into a contract himself (if that’s what he did)

I spent my last year at school with shoes superglued together because we couldn’t afford new ones so yeah, I get that.

But it’s worrying to me that you’re blaming the bank for letting you open an account when you must have known there was something slightly dodgy going on

I’d still go with a credit union - if your under 18 some organisations allow you to open an account or ask a parent to counter sign.
My children have an account in their name at local credit union. They have paid in cheques and given bank details to relatives for inbound bank transfers.

If your over 16 I’d say this is your best bet.

there is only one credit union near me which is croydonplus and it is only for 18+

This sort of nonsense comment is really not helpful

I’d go and see them as they are open to 16+

My local credit union - up north - under 16 parent just opens for them over 16 it is there account.
