[card] Contactless inconsistent

Issue: contactless often not working or takes several attempts this morning in Mac Donald’s tried 3 times and ending up using HSBC card, this was using Apple Pay on iPhone , phone looks like it worked but contactless device not doing anything

Are you saying the contactless device at McDonalds wasn’t working? As in, the thing that McDonalds own?

Not much Monzo can do about that. Did you tell the Manager in McDonalds?

Have you tried using Apple Pay elsewhere this morning? Just to ascertain whether it’s a McDonald’s-specific fault or not.

You forgot to fill out the rest of the bug report fields too. OS, Device, App Version etc…

When I had that problem using my phone to pay by contactless, it turned out that I was moving it onto and away from the contactless terminal too quickly.
