I entered the wrong CVC one time with my new card on an eBay and now my CVC has been blocked on Monzo.
The app says the following:
"This transaction failed because you entered your card’s CVC code incorrectly too many times. Please get in touch with us through char so we can unblock it.
You can find the CVC code in your Monzo app
Tap the Card button on the account card
Tap on the three dots beside ‘CVC’
Enter your PIN or use touch or face ID to see the code"
I’ve followed these instructions and there is no three dots that offer any settings for CVC, only the option to reveal. And as far as I can tell I cannot contact via “char” which I assume means chat.
Does anyone have any tips on how to fix or how to reach out to Monzo. I can’t find where to just raise a request directly.
I was too annoyed that I couldn’t get through when I wanted to speak to them a few weeks ago that I moved my day to day banking to Chase and my ISAs elsewhere. The fact you need secret forum links to get through is bonkers.
In the card display, tap on ‘Reveal’ to show the card number and the CVC. You’ll need your Monzo app pin or your biometric login (face/fingerprint) - whichever is in use to secure your account - to activate the reveal. The card number and CVC will then be shown until you press ‘Hide’ or return to the Home screen.
