When you set a monthly budget, it doesn’t take into account money coming into your account. That is, if I buy something on behalf of a friend for £50, then they send me £50, it still takes it from my monthly budget, showing I’m behind when I’m not! Tiny issue, but I love being able to keep myself on track.
You could hit the ‘exclude from summary’ button in these cases.

It’s what I do.
Currently the only incoming transfers that Summary budgets takes into account are Monzo-to-Monzo payments, card refunds, and monzo.me transfers.
