Bills and Committed Spending

Very ready for this to be merged into a main thread but…

Few months(?) into summary now and committed spending and I’m feeling that by definition, 90% of bills should be committed spending right?

So the fact that my bills category has nearly nothing in it under the super-category of ‘spending’ and it’s only down under ‘committed’ that my bills category actually has stuff in is messing me up a bit?

It just seems weird to have two categories across these two super-categories. I’m imagining the reasoning is that it would be confusing for them to be in both as people might think they’ve spent double…but the current still isn’t really working for me and just wondered if anyone else felt the same/there was a better way, or if I’m being weird and everyone else is happy?

I see the bills category under “Spending” as bills that don’t come off regularly and “committed spending” as regular bills that Monzo knows about. I’d get confused if things showed up twice but maybe that’s just me :man_shrugging:t3:

Fair enough I guess. Can understand that too.

Not looking like anyone else agrees so I guess I’ll just have to live with it :man_shrugging:t2:

I also view it as bills or items in that category that aren’t regularly occurring.
I’m not sure else how you could display it?

For example I may have non re occurring bills like a one off house or boiler repair. Car insurance maybe? :man_shrugging:t3:
