Itās Ā£200. @iankent hinted at it yesterday, and it was explicitly mentioned somewhere last night/this morning when the new offer went live, Iām sure I saw.
ETA: I wouldāve seen an in-app notification.
@PaulUK Although not in the T&Cās, the help page has been updated:
Delighted to be part of this new wave, but disappointed by the āsingle useā restrictions on most of the offers.
The only āmulti useā offer I might have gotten some use from is Costa, but I get a 10% discount on gift cards through work which is a better offer. I might pay on card a couple of times to test as part of the trial, but otherwise, itās a bit āmehā.
I wish I could ādeactivateā a specific offer though. Especially the single use ones. If I activated the Morrisons one, but my next visit was unexpected and an āemergency shopā, then I donāt want to waste my one and only cashback claim on that visit.
I know you can activate at any time (IE, when you know itās going to be a bigger shop), but what if I did it accidentally?
I know this is a trial, so things are likely to change before going public, but thought I would share my initial thoughts.
If you have marketing notifications disabled then you wonāt have had the email, but it still should be showing up in the app.
Itāll either be on your accounts overview (just below pots) if you have the new app design, or a bit further down (under āThings you can do with Monzoā) if youāre on the old app design.
I think it would be good if the Ā£200 rolling limit was stated clearer in app, as some above noted itās easy to understand that you can use all the offers to the individual max amounts⦠which isnāt the case!
This is a good point. If we exclude other stores with cashback who sell ASOS vouchers, I can buy Ā£400 of vouchers from ASOS for the 5% cash back. And of course nobody pays full price at ASOS when they have a 20% off deal just about every week, so it is a decent saving/cashback. If it doesnāt work (for example if they were to process voucher only transactions through a different merchant name) I am no worse off that I would have been, I have just prepaid for what I would spend anyhow. Appreciate that not everyone is in a position to be able to do that, but for those that can it is a little bonus.
Didnāt get an email but I do have cashback in the app.
Unfortunately, looking at the offers and my plans for the next two months Iāll be maxing out at Ā£0.24 in cashback. 10% of Ā£2.40 for my morning croissants from Greggs on my office day next Monday.
Not really convinced itās worth the hassle for that.
Iāll keep an occasional eye on the offers over the next few months but doesnāt look like Iām the target market - certainly for this phase of the test anyway.
