Too cloudy last night unfortunately (NW England) - nothing seen.
Hijacking this thread as opposed to making a new one, but tonight is another great night for the Aurora. And the perseids, although the moment may have passed now.
Got a couple of folks in a van on the edge of my land with cameras out (they were here last night too). So either theyâre here for this stuff (good spot for it), or itâs the CIA.
Anyone get any good shots?
Or dogging.
Now back at home after a camping weekend at the north-end of Lake Ullswater (where we saw a Red Arrows flyby and tons of Perseid shooting stars) - but no direct Aurora sightings so far:
Well that right there is a double entendre, and either could be an equally true explanation for their presence.
I think I know which @ndrw went for, but well played!
I saw a singular Perseid last night. Sadly not seeing any aurora at the moment either, but then Iâm in South Wales.
Some stunning images from last night. Wish Iâd known about it before rather than after the fact so I could have been out there snapping shots too.
Sounds like another potential chance tonight if youâre in Scotland. Hopefully not too cloudy.
Too cloudy here
I thought it was going to be another stunning evening, but it faded out unfortunately. But still amazing:
Thereâs a faint green glow here in South Wales.
I couldnât get a good enough view from under my covers in bed
All joking aside, gutted I missed it.
I saw the posts on social media about 01:30, all timed about an hour earlier, so cba to get out of bed (based on the fact that I could see nowt in May, from my house, regardless of others ability to)
Light and cloud pollution a bugger apparently.
