Attempted transaction we don't recognise on our joint account

My wife and I have a joint account.

Last night there was an authorisation attempt on our joint card from LEGO in US dollars. This wasn’t us.

We both still have our cards in our possession. We’ve frozen the cards in the app for now.

If I try to request a new card, it asks me to pick the problematic transaction, but the list doesn’t include the failed authorisation attempt, so can’t select it.

Anyone had this scenario and can suggest the best way to proceed?

Was the failed authorisation made with your wife’s card details perhaps?

You each have separate cards and card details but all transactions show in both your feeds. So just because you can see the auth attempt it doesn’t mean it wasn’t via your wife’s card.

That’s a good point. For normal transactions made by the other cardholder, you can see their profile pic overlaid on the merchant logo, but neither of us can see the overlay for the attempted authorisation, so we can’t figure out whose details were used.

When she’s home from work we’ll see if the transaction does appear for her in the reporting flow.

Looking at the transaction on my wife’s app it includes a clear statement that it was made with my card (this is less obvious in my app)

Going through the card replacement flow I was able to select the LEGO transaction in the Android version of the app but not in iOS

As no money was taken (3DS was not completed) it doesn’t seem like it will let me replace the card.
