Are digital movie "purchase" prices going up?

Cinemas have curtains :astonished:

It’s to give the man playing the soundtrack on a piano some privacy

And an organ and organist that rise out from the floor too. Don’t they?

Back home my hometown cinema did, and had an interval as well. They even had the national anthem playing before the film when I was a kid.

And I’m not that old

At a certain theatre in Birmingham, their interval ice cream costs almost as much as a cinema ticket at my local Vue!

Refreshment prices in cinemas and theatres is another convo though

I’d love an interval. Stretch your legs, get some fresh air, top up snacks, visit the toilets etc.

One of our local ones have sofas and cushions to sit on so it’s more homely, rather than the flip down seats.

I actually came across a tiktok yesterday where a cinema had an interval. It had a countdown timer on the screen stating how long was left before the film started again.
