I was getting this and sadly I damaged my card, the new one didn’t force me to do this ridiculous selfie.
Hi guys. I used Apple Pay for 2 months. Now I’m trying to add my card to Apple Watch but it ask to verify the card by calling a number. The problem is that I’m trying to verify the card but the number doesn’t exist. So now I can’t use Apple Pay on iPhone and Apple Watch!
The phone number doesn’t exist? What number is it saying to call?

Call the number behind the card or chat directly in the app. They should be able to unlock Apple Pay provisioning.
The number was 8008021456
I called the one on the back of the card (+44 XXX) and i spoke with a guy, he unlocked the card by Monzo Chat on both the devices.

I’ll investigate the issue with the phone number listed in Wallet, it is a phone number that directs to customer service if you put a 0 in front of it.

Maybe worth updating the Apple Pay issuer configuration to always show numbers in international format?
