Apple One

It’s because they extended all free trials of Apple TV, so they are crediting people playing for it for the same time period :+1:t3:

Ah right. That explains it :+1:

I thought everyone who signed up for Apple One would lose any remaining free trials – and they warn people of this on the Apple One sign up screen

So I don’t think it’s that

It has nothing to do with people who had free trials previously or Apple One.

If you pay for Apple TV, you will receive credit to February to cover the cost to make it fair for people who have a trial that has been extended by Apple.

Taken a look at One and it says “existing subscriptions not eligible for trial.” Any ideas what that means? I’ve got News and Arcade on trial and Music paid out of my EE contract so it doesn’t show in my Apple subscriptions.

I don’t know how it would work with your Music coming from EE but you lose all existing free trials when you subscribe (eg 4 months of TV+ free replaced by a one-month Apple One free trial for me)

I assume what they mean is that if you’re paying for any of the subscriptions included in One, you won’t get another free month and you’ll just be charged for that?

Thanks. It’s quite confusing. I’ve got a year of TV+ so I think I’ll wait until after that

This is what I’m doing, for now at least.

I have high hopes for Fitness+ so I might end up on the big-boy plan.

Yeh I’m gonna have to go for that too as I’m nearly at the limit of 200gb iCloud storage. Plus the fitness looks cool

had my first Apple One payment taken today, then refunded a few minutes later

Bit of a mess today. I had Apple Music charged today and immediately refunded, then Apple one too. Teething problems I suspect in converting stuff over.

Just a single payment for me, it seems I’m lucky then!

I had it taken then immediately refunded too. I then manually went into my subscriptions in my phone, clicked the plan I wanted under Apple One, it charged again, and within a few minutes I had my emails with the prorata refund values of Music and Arcade so they should appear soon.

Has Fitness+ launched?

I don’t believe it has…yet

Nah, but it’s likely very soon. All the trainers have suddenly started posting ads for it on their Instagram accounts.

My first payment was taken for AppleOne yesterday (after the free trial) AND £14.99 was taken for the next months Apple Music. I’ve had to chat to them to request a refund and today £3.33 was returned to me.

Super strange.

Edit: the £3.33 is the prorata refund for Apple Arcade. So the Apple Music shenanigans is still outstanding.

Oh I had this too! Then a few hours later they took it again.

Got my refunds through from Apple yesterday, so that was nice.

Makes life easier having one payment go

Got my bogus Apple Music refund today. Fingers crossed next month is a little smoother. I can cancelled all my predicted repeating payments for Music/iCloud/News etc.
