The thing that is excluded, that I find odd for a product which seems to be designed education/young people, is the exclusion of MagSafe, I’d imagine that could have been a good selling point, as a safety feature for not injuring kids and not damaging laptops.
I don’t think there’s any issue with the SOC performance. For me, the 8GB of RAM is the real killer. Even 12GB would have been just about bareable. I don’t see this ageing anywhere near as well as the original M1 Air.

I’d still rather have a 256MB M4 for £800ish, but if you have to have the new shiny, this is a great deal.

Shame there was no new Apple TV launched. I wonder if the delay, if there even was a new one, is due to Siri issues.
Same. I’m not paying full price for a 3 year old box.
I really appreciate the “boring” annual spec updates that they now do for most of their hardware each year. It’s nice to get the most possible modern hardware when you’re paying the tax.

Although I have not played it on iOS I see Cult of the Lamb is on it.
Outlanders is great. Might be a bit small on a phone screen (I always play on iPad) but should be fine.
If you like adventure games, Oceanhorn 2 is great. They’ve just released 3 but not tried that yet

Does anyone connect Now TV to the Apple TV app? If so, has yours kinda broken? Now is still connected but can no longer ‘play’ all the shows/films in Continue Watching. Instead the only option is to buy them. There’s also no ‘open in’ option. When selecting the Now channel instead of showing all the Now shows I’m watching plus new shows, I just have this. Same across all devices as well - this is iOS Apple TV app.
