Thanks - I’ve still got the iPhone 15 range but battery is kinda faulty and AppleCare won’t cover it as it’s 82% despite me having to charge it a few times a day.

Note that they would replace the phone if it were basically destroyed accidentally.

So was looking at the 10a as a backup phone, also I guess a benefit would be is to have a cheap 2nd SIM card with a separate network like the £2.50 lebera as I’m often in the country side for hours with the dogs and my o2 is usually 0 signal so I can make calls in emergency’s

I’d suggest an iPhone 17e, mainly because continuity is amazing. Calls from my iPhone 16 come through on my iPhone Air and iPhone 13, my AirPods sync to whatever is doing useful activities at the minute (like phone calls preference, with videos next and and then music) etc

Thisanis easy to kill off to reach 80 and below. Get some weird heavy game and play let ity drop to about 15% charge plug in and let it heat up, in few days it will be down. The heat will make it quicker.

This is true. Literally just download a benchmarking app and keep running benchmarks until you kill the battery then charge it 0-100 each time (preferably by MagSafe if you can). It will happen.
