I recently joined and at first was getting a little annoyed 
on the app freeze so I proceeded and delisted app 
But reloaded from cloud within 20 minutes and everything worked fine after that,so its possible the app refresh on iOS doesn’t work at all time. So check it out it maybe the fix you all need.
You could try Android it seems to be working OK there.
