Must of been that trip to specsavers…

Been like it a few weeks now. Grown to like it.

I had the new font but the bold wasn’t there. Now I’m convinced I’m just going crazy.

I’ve no clue what’s pre release or actual release with my app. It’s like there’s something staff like in the background still

Screenshots please. :eyes:

Nothing that ultimately stands out but there was those pot images that have since disappeared :upside_down_face: and then maybe this bold font stuff which I’m sure has been visible for a few weeks to me - though I don’t use monzo a huge amount to be 100% sure.

So it’s been nearly 2 months since the initial release…

Is there any updates on what the lengthy feedback has brought on?

I think the changes are being made just that we don’t get updates about them all. For example I downloaded today to find the home screen had been tided up a little, FSCS details added and also they had squashed quite a few bugs. I think that’s the level we can expect from them but perhaps @emmag can be kind enough to go into more detail

I have noticed minor updates but I’m just wondering if any of the wealth of constructive feedback has had any impact on their planned designs. Or when can we expect to see a bit more major updates.

Back when the last version was in labs, there was a lot of updates week to week. I would hate to see this new (and in my opinion a lot better layout) get left unpolished like things in the past…

More of a typeface issue, but the kerning sometimes looks a bit off with the new look.

I’ve now closed my joint and flex accounts so the only card at the top of the new view is my personal account. This makes the view much more usable.

However for me, the big issue is still that my external credit card isn’t included in the accounts and the top of the screen (and there is no option to). My day-to-day spending is split between my Monzo personal account and my credit card. For me you need to be able to chose external accounts to list in the main section at the top. Ideally it would be split in to 2 customisable sections, day-to-day accounts (which can include credit cards/current accounts from other banks) and then savings accounts (which includes pots/external accounts).

And you choose what goes in which section(s).

And this is where it all gets very complex, depending on how customisable they make it because this is the complete opposite of what I’d want.

Same.

Keep it monzo at top.

Other accounts underneath in a same bubble type design.

Pots next, same design.

Then transactions snippet.

Ah yes they have been updated! Now all staggered money styles are either small (like this screenshot) or large (like balances)

This basically, we’re working on a few medium sized features which work together nicely and should arrive in the next few weeks

The feedback you’ve all given has been super useful, we’re talking about it a lot internally and it’s definitely impacting our designs. This is the most research-driven project I’ve worked on and we’re taking feedback from here, user research sessions and the feedback form to guide us forwards. We’ve got lots of ideas but don’t want to just ship every idea because it could be a jarring experience to have things constantly added and then removed. Instead we’re trying to bring it all together in a cohesive experience.

But please keep letting us know what is or isn’t working for you!

Yes I have more than one account, including current, flex, a few pots, mortgages, credit cards etc.

I think fundamentally though I don’t really want a home screen with editable widgets at all. Things that are important to me, and I believe other customers, are being able to quickly access all accounts, and seeing all recent transactions (global list would be good, per-account is fine). Both of these deserve a tab IMO (see original feedback above) so I’m sad this effort seems to only address the home screen as that really limits options and makes it hard to holistically address concerns with the app.

As I said in this thread (or one of the others, I can’t remember now) that is it very challenging for Monzo to build for everyone, because people manage their money in so many different ways.

What you want is the complete opposite of what I want. If they did it your way I’d remove my connected accounts completely.

It honestly shocks me that people wouldn’t want to see all their accounts in one section at the top. I am desperate for them to add this so I can quickly see what’s in each account all in one compact space, it’s one of the main reasons I pay for Monzo, so that I can see all my accounts in one app, so then to make it harder to easily see them all in one place would defeat the whole point for me.

My other accounts aren’t anywhere near as important to me as my Monzo accounts.

Maybe I’m a bit of an anomaly, but all my spending goes through Monzo/MonzoJA. I have a Lloyds account that has Ā£1 in it, I have a Lloyds credit card at Ā£0. I have them added (and now my CASS accounts with Santander/TSB) because I can really. I don’t use Lloyds that often, but I keep it for various reasons. If somehow something was to be spent on any of these cards, I’m more likely to see it within Monzo, but I don’t need to monitor it that closely that I want it at the top.

Flex, Personal, JA at the top is perfect for me but I know lots of people differ, as you’ve outlined. If they did put them all at the top, and I couldn’t change it, then I would remove them all and have one less reason to pay for Plus.
