That is a very important 0.000000625% of the customer base. They should revert immediately.
So out comes the sarcasm. Itās noteworthy that the majority of feedback regarding the Home Screen change is negative, regardless of whether that suits your agenda or not.
The majority isnāt negative at all.
Polls on here and Reddit have shown that people prefer the new. Of course people are going to complain if they donāt like it, nobody is going to join the forum to say well done I like the changes.
I think the new approach - only in labs - works much better now that it does not dump you into the carousel. I presume that is what they have always been working towards, albeit with bumps in the road and a few diversions and turns from feedback
No it isnāt, the majority isnāt negative at all.
Thatās a fair enough point, the complaints will always be more prominent than those who are satisfied!
So far Iāve liked the various changes and improvements to the Monzo app, but not this one.
I find the pot move unintuitive and donāt like how the pots for my personal account and joint account are in the same place. I much preferred the previous view with the pots being beside each account, which is much easier to visualise and work with.
One other point, white text on the pot icon is not easy to see.
Thanks for the continued work from the Monzo team.
New update is awful.
On payday after i have seen how much I have available in my main account itās 3 clicks and lots of scrolling and searching to find my savings pot to add money to it. I have to do this a couple of times to update my pots and no I canāt do this using the sort feature (I already use sort for some pots).
Preciously pots were 1 swipe away from the main account. MUCH easier to see how much you have in different areas of your account.
New update is horrible. What are these people thinking?
New update is horrible. 3 clicks and lots of scrolling to get from account view with x left this month to pots view where I can then manage my money by adding or removing money from pots based on the X left for y days information.
Lots of people have mentioned listing out investment pots so they are the same as regular pots. Hopefully that happens.
Agreed.
It is much more difficult to see how much you have, and to quickly check if youāre going to have enough in a particular pot throughout the month, which having several different payments into my account each month, this quick assessment is important.
Iād like to see the option of hiding the Flex account from the Home Screen as I would prefer it to be viewed in a different section.
You can unpin Flex so it sits in other accounts further down. Thatās probably as āhiddenā as itāll get.
Admittedly I have all the labs options on, have done some tinkering with layout, and there may be some A/B testing between different users, but I donāt have any such issues with that
As many (non-savings) pots as I like are accessible directly from the home screen with a single click:
Maybe give it the benefit of the doubt, and some time
I have exactly the same. Itās been like it for over a month now
Is there a tonne of A/B testing still going on currently? Iām seeing lots of posts lately that are confusing me. Like people saying they hate the new layout because pots arenāt a list, but I have list as an option for pots still (dont use it, as I prefer images).
Or for example the above āmany clicks to see potsā issue. For me, the main home screen (that has balance and can have left to spend) I see when I open the app has the pots right there. Itās zero clicks? Unless Iām misunderstanding.
I do agree that I donāt like the separation of savings pots away from the other pots, itās not super intuitive for me, I keep forgetting I have to go to a separate section for one pot and it makes it feel like not a pot. But I can see some reasoning for it.
Thereās a new accounts view in labs which removes the carousel
Goodbye carousel, we barely knew ye
Restoring the link between accounts & pots might go some way to restoring addressing some of the recent feedbackā¦
Okay, text labels alone is maybe not enough, but the list view seen here does show that, so it is not something they have fully discounted:
