App crashes on start up

Hi folks,
Not quite sure what to do.
Everytime I open the monzo app it just crashes instantly.
I uninstalled it and re-installed it and it hasn’t changed.
I think it might be something to do with the new android update perhaps, or maybe a camera hardware fault.

Phone specs:
Android version 9
Build number: P-MR0RC006-RZR-N.7069
Razer phone

Repro steps:
Tap on app,
It crashes.
See popup " Monzo keeps stopping"

I checked the exceptions in the logs and it said:
Exception class name:
java.lang.RuntimeException

Source class
android.hardware.Camera

Source method
_enableShutterSound

Ah apologies just did a search,

Looks like this is the same, i’ll read the full thread and if theres a solution ill close this one.

ok great:

“I found the issue in my case! I looked into the exception being thrown and it refers to to enabling the camera shutter sound. So it turns out if your phone is set to do not disturb or silent this throws an exception and breaks the app. Hopefully this will help you guys too :slight_smile:”

This worked for me.
What an annoying bug! I turned off do not disturb and it works fine.
