Any rough estimate for the account switching feature?

Could you please provide a rough estimate of the timeframe for implementing the account switching feature for both personal and business accounts?

No, because we’re nearly all Monzo customers. You might be lucky and get an answer from a Monzo employee but I expect that the answer will be along the lines of “when it’s ready”.

Hi @ajaykumar! I’m so sorry for missing your question earlier. We will be launching our account switching service for both personal and business accounts very soon, so hopefully you’ll be able to try it out and let us know what you think! The current timeframe is within weeks (not months), so please bear with us while we dot the i’s and cross the t’s on this one :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey, apologies for the delay, but account switching is now available to all customers in Ireland!

There are two ways of switching, the PAD and PSD2 process

  • PAD is less encouraged by us - customers need to fill in this form

  • PSD2 is the one we promote in the app, as it runs on Open Banking and is much faster

    • Three dot menu on the card → Switch to Monzo is currently our only app entry point to account switching via PSD2.

  • Both processes are described in our switching pack on monzo.com

@Cian - I tried to swap my BOI to Monzo today but it errored out - I got in touch with support but any advice from early testers would be appreciated :slight_smile:
