So I now have many Pots to help me manage my money better
I used to simply ensure that after my bills are allocated for I left £800 to go the month on. I still do this but I use Pots to manage it further for example, I have pots for, Food, Travel, Going Out, Hair Cut, Vape Juice - the things I know happen every single month, there is then a balance left in the current account which sits there for stuff that isn’t pre-allocated in a pot, or when the pots run out.
I would like to be able to see the total of the above pots plus the current account so I know exactly how much money I have left for the month without needing to manually add them.
Not all pots are equal - I have a holiday pot and an apple pot for annual phone and watch upgrades for example, I wouldn’t want these included in a “total available to go the month on” total
It feels like a pretty bespoke issue if I’m honest, wanting a total of some pots and not others. I’m just an individual who doesn’t work that way, though, so I’ve no real concept how popular an idea it would be.
