I noticed when installing Monzo on a new Android phone, the app did not give me the option to add the cards to Google Pay - saying the cards were already added… which is true but on a different phone!

Have you removed the cards from the other device?
No, I use more than one phone and expect to be able to add my cards to more then one electronic wallet.
Other banking apps don’t have this problem

No, an still setting up the new phone.
However, the main reason for posting was wanting to highlight that the add card to Google Pay option is not working properly
The app will already see a Google pay token to the card so it’s working correct.
Just not working how you want it to.
In which case I would say the default behaviour of the app should be changed so that the app checks if the card is in an electronic wallet that is on the phone the app is on.
Seems every other bank has reached the same view as me on this.
