You missed my point.
Which Lewis has commented many times explaining, in short, wait, and people still tag and moan.

Paid for knowing itâs not part of the product, yes.
So still no financial loss.
Youâre wrong again.
Also, remember that time you said to not patronise you? Have a think about that moment.
The perspective is âIâm gong to buy this product because it has what I needâ, not âIâm going to buy this product and demand the company give me what I need afterwardsâ.
So if somebody bought into the product without checking what it offers, thatâs negligent on their part.
If someone buys the product knowing what is included (cards, open banking, whatever else), thatâs acceptable.
But they had 14 days to decide whether it is suitable for them afterwards. That includes checking what accounts are available via open banking.
Assuming yes if people are still paying the product with what it offers, they canât then really continue to moan at monzo for not giving in to their demands.
They know within that 14 day period if Virgin is offered, if not, cancel.
I canât imagine many folk here are daft, but you donât continue to buy into something that doesnât give you what you want.
Therefore, not a financial loss, because they decided to stay based on the premise of the product at the time, nothing more.
There may also be people who were swung towards buying the product because they were told things were coming a year ago. I know people may come back and say âyou should have bought it for what it did at the time and not what may comeâ but Monzo said it was coming
(To be clear I donât use Virgin so I am none of these people, I can just appreciate how they feel )
Just my thoughts but this stance is very bizarre @Carlo1460 - if you donât chase something then its just going to fall by the wayside.
@Carlo1460 the reason people are replying is because they were given timeframes and indications that the capability would be coming. This wasnât some demand for a feature that wasnât in the pipeline. As those timeframes came and went we understandably sought updates from @_lewis who seemed happy to engage previously.
This is a community forum, designed in part to create discussion including between Monzo and its customers. It seems youâre missing the point of this forum as others have rightly pointed out too.
Also the connection works with other apps so no reason for monzo to not work. If there are kinks to iron out still does not explain why this isnât veing added in labs.
Feels like itâs time to bump this one. Virgin money credit card clearly offer the API as I can add it into other banks and apps, so seems less clear why this is still yet to be added.
Because itâs not a priority for a small amount of customers. No matter how many tags Lewis gets.
Itâs a suggestion. Iâm agreeing with it, you donât have to.
You didnât understand why it hadnât been added. I answered that for you.
You explained your opinion, that itâs not a priority for a small amount of customers. I know what you meant, but thatâs great. Thanks for your opinion.
How do you know itâs not a priority or that it only applies to a small amount of customers? Is that an assumption or do you have the data to back this up?
Monzo / @_lewis were working on it previously, it wouldnât have got further than the requirement backlog list if it didnât have value to a decent amount of customers
If it was a priority it would have been done by now and not getting pushed aside for other things.
Because thereâs less demand, thatâs obvious by the votes/comments/requests. The 5 or so of you that keep tagging Lewis is not going to get it done any faster.
A year or two ago, it was the most requested feature on various polls.
Hopefully it will happen automatically if customers are moved to Nationwide
You donât really think a forum is an accurate way to measure demand do you? Is that all the data you have?
If you read the comments, the questions asked are mainly âifâ itâs going to happen, not to push to speed it up. The previous updates from Lewis were that the feature was very close and there were only a couple of technical obstacles to overcome, so an expectation was set that it was coming.
Obviously things dropped off, but thatâs why there are requests for an update on whether the feature is still in contention. But donât let your apparent need to patronise strangers on the internet get in the way of the facts
Itâs a perfectly good measure when youâre comparing it against other things by the same measure. If you consider the other 10 million customers, if there was a big demand, it would exist. The isnât even the demand amongst the people who have joined a forum for a bank.
If it was easy, it would exist. There was an issue so it got sidelined.
Lewis comes on, sees the tags and doesnât reply. Of your 11 posts in this topic, youâve tagged him in 8 of them. He isnât going to reply because you keep shouting for him like heâs your Dad and youâve lost your dummy. Heâll give you an update when he has one.
If there wasnât a demand, it wouldnât have been developed in the first place. You simply donât know whether there is demand or not, perhaps they hit a technical hurdle they couldnât overcome. I admitted in my last comment that I appreciate it may have dropped off, hence asking for an update.
Iâm glad youâre taken the time to scour the topic and count the number of tags. At what point have I âshoutedâ versus asked a question? The forums are here in part to allow a line of communication between the customer and Monzo. A tag is simply the only way to remind Monzo there are people still interested in the feature and request an update.
Why do you feel the need to come on here and berate people asking for an update? Again, your ability to ignore certain facts so that you can be a condescending â â â â is quite impressive. If it doesnât concerns you, scroll on.
You replied to me. I havenât berated you.
I want the integration too. I just donât act like a child because it isnât here yet.
Well done on two posts in a row without tagging him though. How ever will he know to update you now!
