Accidently removed my Flex account in app

It’s too easy to accidently remove a flex account in the app. I did it and lost my Flex Credit Amount.

You should have time to restore the flex account or at the very least make it a two step process..

Not only did I lose my credit limit but Monzo had the cost of sending me a new Flex card.

It’s not at all.

You have to click a giant red button right at the bottom of all the account settings that says ‘close account’, then you get another ‘Are you sure?’ prompt.

Sounds like a you problem you created.

It’s not easy to close accounts, in any form.

You are correct. There’s more of a safe guard than say deleting a message. It’s more like being the equivalent to deleting an app or an account on a phone or PC. But with these examples you can restore without loss of functionality. It’s just hassle.

The Monza app just goes ahead and doesn’t give you an ability to restore.

But t’s not enough of a safeguard for an actual bank account. I absentmindedly thought I was deleting a message or something. I’m tech and app savvy, which was probably my downfall. Stupid but humans can be absent minded

I’m not sure how this could be misconstrued in the way you’ve described.

Each to their own I guess :person_shrugging:

You daft head - perhaps you are super defensive app developer for Monzo. But this is a forum for folk to post challenges and suggestions.

My suggestion is that to close the account you have to compete in a motor race around the Monza circuit against a Monzo staff member. If you lose, the account stays open. I think that would be the appropriate amount of friction in this scenario.

I think the only challenge here is you and your inability to understand what closing an account means, and then moaning you closed it after being asked if you wanted to close it

Otherwise just seems a troll post.
