I have been asked for a “A recommendation letter from your bank” how can I apply for this?

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of such a thing. What’s the context?

If I’ve been renting before I’ve needed a recommendation letter from someone else who acts as a guarantor, and also a bank statement but that’s about it.
