A new look for the Account tab

When you are scrolled to the bottom of your pots, it could be nice to be able to click on the account tab icon at the bottom of the screen and for it to scroll back to the top - much as it does with transactions on the home tab.

Android appears to do this. Could be an iOS-only issue?

Seems so I guess! Do you have pots history on Android where you can see a list of transactions in/out of each pot?

Great work on the new Account tab My only gripe would be the positioning of the ‘borrowing’ banner. If we can’t dismiss this, can it go somewhere less prominent?

One issue is there’s no way to hide the “Learn about loans” bit in the borrowing section (and presumably the whole thing, if I didn’t have an overdraft). I have the “Lending promotions” toggle off in settings, but that’s just for notifications, but it should really affect the app as a whole.

The iOS standard of tapping the middle of the status bar (or tapping just under the notch on an X series) works here - in case you were missing a method of jumping back up.

Not just under the notch. Tapping the status bar at all (time, icons, etc) scrolls to top.

Yeah I know just easier to reach the account tab icon is all - and the fact the home tab already has it for transactions means it would be nice for consistency too.

To be fair, the “lending promotions” toggle is in the “NOTIFICATIONS” (sic) header. It doesn’t technically have to remove messages elsewhere. I would like it to, as it’s using up space.

@monzo2018 Right now we’re just focussed on fixing bugs. There’s always more things planned, but I don’t think we need to add more functionality in order to move from the current layout to this new one.

In next week’s app update the sizing/weight of the fonts and £amounts will be cleaned up a bit.

Regarding adding new functionality - there are quite a few moving parts in other teams that are related - so we’re going to see how it all fits together before making more changes.

One small tweak that would be welcome would be for an abvious visual cue as to whether a pot is locked or not. At the moment on the accounts screen you have to click on a pot to get that info.

+1 for that - the little padlock shows when you click in but not on the main tab! (Although with locked pots not really being locked… does it matter? (Joking obviously)).

I really like the new layout, but the one thing I miss from the old pots layout is the add/withdraw options being right on the main page. Now I have to tap in to the pot to move money to my main account. I know it’s only minor, but it’s definitely a little fiddlier.

Does anyone know if there’s been any mention of when the pot history feature might be released? Does Android have it yet? (I’m on iOS).

Pot history is available for me on Android. I don’t know whether there’s been a full rollout on Android for it though or if I just happen to be a lucky one (I’m assuming the former).

Probably just iOS doesn’t have it then.

I remember a few months ago it was shown as part of the new account screen preview, so I had been expecting to see it when I got the new account tab last week.

I believe the reason that you “got” the new account screen last week was because you activated the see your Barclaycard feature in Labs. Someone from Monzo said that in order for this to work it needed the new account screen layout. See below:

A new look for the Account tab

Hey all, This version of the account tab isn’t quite ready for everyone, but is required to test the credit card integration (which is why we’re enabling the account tab along with the Barclay card integration in Labs). There will still be some bits that are rough around the edges. We’re working on the last big bugs this week - so hope to release the new layout to everyone in a couple of weeks time.

This was 6 days ago so ~8 more to go

Oh and just to confirm. Everyone on Android has this layout and it does include pot history.
