2025: What do we want to see? 👀

Yeah I have a feeling as such, just wanted to cover myself before someone replied with it

I like this idea, I don’t need breakdown cover as I have a company car, but mobile insurance or other options would be more suited to me

Some of these suggestions :exploding_head:

The same people will be complaining the basics don’t work when they’re also asking Monzo to create a spaceship and have the app talk to aliens.

Edited that for you. That topic brought back memories

There was an intriguing suggestion years ago of physical cards for pots in teardowns. Nothing came of it obviously (or I might just have got the wrong end of the stick).

(@davidwalton does this ring any bells with you?)

I think that initial ‘Pay on a card, from a pot’ feature morphed from physical cards into Virtual cards:

Monzo is already so amazing
like, seriously - compared to the competitors.

I personally think UI design should keep being worked on, along with brand design and card design (not that it’s not already good).

Mostly everyone I know chose Monzo for it’s app and design, its iconic, and very 21st century - I think Monzo should build on what makes it renowned and recognisable to make it even more user friendly (if somehow possible), and even more modern.

Maybe open up some ‘Monzo Spaces’ where users can go (in central locations) to deposit cash, get help, etc. Which I know sort of goes against being a virtual bank but imo a lot of people would just prefer to have the peace of mind knowing that they can take a train ride and get real life support.

This is an interesting design
But someone please correct me if I’m wrong in thinking it goes against the MasterCard branding guidelines because the logo is smaller than usual?

Also numbers on cards?? That’s soooo 2021

This is just a mock up that someone called Brice Corbin did somewhere else. Some else posted it on here and there was a ton of controversy about whether they’d passed it off as their own

But as a mock up from 2018 I expect standards to have changed by now. If it was ever standards compliant in the first place.

Still think it’s super classy though.

Correct, it’s either 10mm or 16mm in height - can’t remember which

Ah, fun memories of the last time they tried that :joy:

Mine would be quite similar to what I’ve said previously really. Proper web banking and family cover which actually is. By which I mean the amounts covered scale with the volume of potential users.

Also, a metal card of some form would be nice, even if it was a chargeable extra.

Hard No. It’s a bank not a influencer.

Don’t know what you mean, I love my real black horse courtesy of Lloyds’ merch store - not sure what to feed him though

I don’t get it personally, It’s not a sports team or organisation. In the same way if HSBC did like a T-shirt or something I’d not buy it. However I get why others might have different preferences.

I am hoping we get more community events and things this year (like the popcorn with the new ad campaign).

I also hope for new cards (all the cards, every caaaaard)

Would love for Flex to be smart enough to actually do a proper credit check and realise that I have more than enough income for 20x my current limit and not expect me to move my main account to Monzo.

Even though I spend something like ÂŁ1500 every month on my Monzo join account, my Flex limit is eternally stuck at ÂŁ250.

Surely at the ÂŁ5,000 point, a normal credit card is more viable?
