I used the ‘spending target’ tool in trends each month, this month it was £1,250.
When i made a payment, I got this notification ‘You’ve spent all your overall budget this month’
I clearly had not spent my overall budget that month as I still had £1,137 left to spend.
The only way i managed to stop this notification is by adding ‘category targets’ and trying to guess how much I would spend in each category, this is incredibly annoying to do. When I select ‘no category targets’ It gives me this ‘You’ve spent all your overall budget this month’ notification again.
Is this a bug?? I’ve done everything correct, set a spending target, chose no category targets and it still says i’ve spent all my budget every time i make a payment- Is this monzo getting confused from it’s old budgeting feature?
Pics of the notification and my spending target included.
Do you still have a budget set somewhere in Summary (not Trends)?
When Trends launched, I tapped on ‘Disable all budgets’ in ‘Summary’ → ‘Budgets’ to zero them, so the app couldn’t suffer from potential feature bleed-through. And I’ve never seen the same symptoms you are experiencing since then (Android app)
Thank you, I think what you are describing may be the case. But as far as I can see, the summary tab no longer exists for me to do what you have described. Any idea where it may be hidden?
They’ll be at some point (who knows when), removing it and only keeping trends. So that’s why they’re working on hiding it etc, so that less people use it.
