Withdraw from 24hr notice savings directly to a pot

It would be very useful when withdrawing from a 24hr savings account, to be able to have it paid directly to a pot when it arrives the next day, particularly when scheduling money into bills / virtual card pots as opposed to only being able to have it credited to the current account.

Thanks.

A workaround for the time being would be to set a scheduled deposit into the pot for the day (or even the day after) the funds are due to land.

It’s doable. The annoying part there is trying to coordinate that with possible bank holiday permutations and combinations to be assured the money was there in time.

Are the non-Monzo pots really worth it when you’re always taking it out instead of using the instant access one?

Sadly you can’t schedule withdrawals from the instant access, or have more than one instant access pot, but yet you can schedule the non Monzo ones, just not to a pot :man_shrugging:

No but the presses to get it the next and have to move it to a pot like you want would be done at the same time?

I don’t fully understand your response. My ideal would be able to properly schedule the movement of money. My issue is there is something in the way of that regardless of what savings pots you use. Easy access has no scheduling capability and 24 Hr doesn’t allow you to pay it directly to a pot, save having it scheduled to the current account, then trying to figure out an appropriate number of days to accommodate for weekends and bank holidays followed by another schedule to move it to a pot, that may, or may not work depending on how it hits on the calendar.

I know what you’re asking for, it’s been asked for a lot in multiple threads and doesn’t seem to be coming anytime soon. I was giving you a faster solution in the middle.

Currently
Press withdraw from pot, wait 24 hours, then move it.

If you use an instant access pot, withdraw from pot, move it right away.

It might be a lower rate % but if you’re moving it back and forth to pay bills then it’ll be pennies anyway.

And doing it manually. I’m perfectly aware how it can be achieved, my suggestion is allowing it to be achieved via scheduling. That’s it t’s a suggestion mate. You’re also making assumptions about what money I’m moving. This isn’t about a £20 mobile bill and the council tax

The new update for pot to pot transfers was great. It would be even better if this included the savings pots as I am still having to do the 2 actions to move money between them (withdrawal from savings to main account, transfer to savings pot once the savings amount is released).
