Does the Wise auto top up feature go on holiday over the weekend and bank holidays? Mine seems to have not collected money yet I am far below threshold now.
The app is quite slow compared to most others. That spinning coin can go away.
Teensy bit late as, very unusually for me, I did mine yesterday. Told them it was provisional figures but well under the £1000 limit.
I only realised today in Freeagent that my 2024/2025 also had provisional notes for interest documents pending. I just finalised that, and submitted another provisionla one for 2025/26

Not a new function, but has anyone used Wise QR Pay if you’ve travelled to China, Singapore, or the Philippines recently?
Also, only just noticed this in Travel Hub.
Pretty niche but I like it!
Oh cool. I didn’t know Wise supported Alipay. I’ll give it a try.
I wonder if the 3% fee above 200 ¥ still applies too
Wise support is fairly decent.
Asked them to move my middle name, the AI bot was quick in response, which then sent me to a human who was available immediately.
Also asked about vibrate not happening on notifications and they’ve referred to the engineers to look into. (Whether it actually goes anywhere who knows).
Edit: Found the full help article. An Alipay account is still required, not sure if that’s any different than using other banks.
While Wise currently doesn’t support scanning and paying via QR codes using the Wise app, Wise card customers can still enjoy the Wise exchange rates when paying in China.
Their growth in APAC is looking pretty steady.
It’s a pretty big change, as previously Wise only supported QR payments in Switzerland, as I tried it when I was in Zurich.
I have full Alipay access, I can pay money and receive money using Alipay and I assume this will be straight to my wise China balance. This is how it works in China your current account is automatically registered with Alipay and WeChat there is no registration, I mean given how much it dominates the country I guess they would have no choice.
I can’t show you how it is appearing on my app as it blocks screen shots, but I have the ability to scan and be scanned, so I can pay retailers and scan others to pay them, exactly how it works in the native app.
You can! as far as I can see, Alipay+ is different to AliPay. the Plus service is just acting as a payment processor, so you don’t requite full registration or the native app.
yes, looking at it further I don’t even think you need a CNY balance, because there is a drop down below the QR allowing you to select a country, I assume for the currency, not sure.
