Hi , good afternoon , I am having issues with money transfer wire transfer from US bank wells Fargo , it was sent from 27/08/2024 . I still has not received the money yet. My parents are 80 years old and they want to give me birthday gift and for my expenses to help me out . I have been contact with Monzo chat , numerous times transfer to one person to another. My parents in US has spoken with Wells Fargo bank they said that money was transferred to intermediary and have send quite a few times Monzo bank has not responded back to them. I was asked UETR number I given that and Wells Fargo banks give MIR reference number for trace the money. Monzo keep on saying can’t help and keep on transfer one specialist and another. I know I was a bit of frustrated my parents saving money it’s not easy money. They are also worried and sometimes can’t sleep . Please give me any ideas and help I will be forever grateful.
Monzo staff don’t frequent the forum here and wont be able to offer specific support like this.
Try to be as clear as possible with Monzo support, give them the reference numbers as you’ve mentioned and if you’re still struggling, the only thing I can suggest is you get Wells Fargo to rescind the transfer. You can then explore other options of sending the money.
