Wiki: Current Account Switching Incentives 💸

I just got the NatWest bribe. That’s £180 in my account the day after meeting the criteria.

All i had to do was deposit £1250 for 24 hours. And the best thing was that I’ve had an RBS incentive recently too.

That’s the easiest money so far.

Did the Santander switch in the end. Will probably be my last switch. Bye bye RBS - thought you were getting too cluttered anyway.

As I kinda like having three debit accounts, decided to open one with HSBC UK. So I’ll end up with Santander, First Direct, and HSBC. And of course, I know the latter are in the same group. With this being the last switch, should have no more closed accounts showing on my credit report. I have way too many considering my age

Funny how these things come around. I’ve settled on Monzo/FD/Nationwide.

If Nationwide didn’t annoy me so much earlier this year, would have still had them, but I’m sure I’ll be happy with the 3 I’ve ended up with (Santander never changed and never will probably. Oldest account). I’m perfectly happy with FD and I’m sure HSBC will be as good as all the other big banks are normally (which is good most of the time, but with a few issues time to time).

What with?

Just random submenus with a long list of random other stuff. It’s not too much just yet and I can manage it, but I’m happy to get rid of it to get hopefully get some extra money.

I’d like the app more if tapping the account showed you transactions, not that long list.

The rest has been fine.

To be fair, that is the only part I really have an issue with. It is a good app, but could become too cluttered if they keep adding features all over the place.

In reality, it is a very minor issue but I just don’t have a strong pull towards RBS at the moment so am happy to switch it.

I saw many ads on Facebook about Lloyds Bank switch £200 insensitive recently

Gosh they have a dire app! Ticked all the boxes but no £200 received yet.

Is it worse than Barclays ? :joy:

I think so. The little guy did Barclays first and thinks this one is dreadful.

It’s not just the app though. Their whole process is confusing.

I actually don’t mind the Barclays app, could be quicker and vibrate with notifications but can’t have everything.

Picked up the £200 yesterday on this. Dreadful banking experience (Junior #2 says it’s in a whole different league of awfulness than Barclays!). I don’t think they’ve grasped the concept of fast in Faster Payments. Helpfully, they even have a different card reader so I couldn’t use one from my extensive collection of them.

Did anybody do the May TSB Switch offer and received the hotel voucher for this month? Still waiting on mine.
