Which NewDay credit cards do you want to see?

Sainsburys

I’m no expert, but I think that lots of them now just exist as brands that were bought from the administrator (Burtons belongs to BooHoo, for example).

Someone might be along to correct me, but I think that means that all the old infrastructure - and the company New Day had a deal with - don’t really exist anymore.

That’s true - NewDay are moving the customers from redundant-branding credit cards to a new card brand of their own called Pulse.

Brands like opus, marbles, Aqua, Fluid, Pulse and Bip are just NewDay owned and operated, not in partnership with anyone else.

I suppose it might end up with their only partnership being for the Amazon card, and others being standalone.

Any chance you could add Virgin Money please - looks like Virgin Atlantic have left AMEX for Virgin Money now…

Amazon please (wish they had Apple Pay too)

They do have Apple Pay!

Tried again adding Amazon to Apple Pay, still not supported! Anyone else get their Amazon credit card added to Apple Pay?

Still no

Can be added to curve and used in Apple Pay that way. Only have amazon card few months (got for where Amex not accepted) and couldn’t believe Apple Pay not supported, can’t be many cards not supported by Apple Pay these days.

That’s weird!

NewDay is listed on Apple’s list so all of them should work. Maybe something has gone wrong with the implementation for the Amazon card specifically?

Did anything come of this? I’m checking the available accounts to show in Monzo and none of these are there.

Had forgot about this, would be interested in new day cards being added also.

To be a little less cryptic (:stuck_out_tongue:):

We’ve dropped a new “Test Other accounts” toggle into Labs. When this is turned on, you’ll see the option to connect cards from Amazon, Aqua, Argos, and NewDay. Please try it out and let us know how you get on!

As usual, you’ll need Monzo Plus or Monzo Premium to connect an account :sparkles:

Are you able to talk a bit about how you ended up with the ones you’ve got? Amazon seemed to be the big winner from the poll, but how did you settle on the others?

Oh your tempting me to sign back up to plus or premium!!!

I’ll try and dig up the reasoning. It was actually a few months ago now that we came up with the list :see_no_evil:

We saw some issues with the connection flow during staff testing, and then some issues with refreshing transactions. We think these should be fixed now, but it’s hard to be sure—that’s why we’re putting this into Labs, so we can get more confidence before we turn it on for everyone  So please do try it, and let us know how you get on!

Sadly I’ve ended up cancelling plus as not being able to connect my sainsburys card (which I use for most of my spend) just made it all totally unusable. The savings was the only thing keeping me using plus and now that Chase has brought out their offering it just isn’t worth (for me) paying the extra money anymore unfortunately. :disappointed:
