I have a virtual card linked to a pot to account for bills each month.
2 days I go I received a card check from ‘Brain Anew’. As I didn’t recognise this merchant/retailer I used the ‘Block Merchant Spending’ function to solely restrict any payment being taken for this retailer.
It turns out that either correctly or incorrectly, this function freezes the virtual card completely. However, the app doesn’t currently allow me to freeze or unfreeze a virtual card myself, I had to reach out to customer services via in-app chat (which has drastically gone down hill since I last used it a year or two ago).
The app also doesn’t show either textually or graphically that my card is frozen like it does for the normal current account, joint account or flex card.
