Very un-useful assistance around anything really

I’ve been with Monzo for some years now and the app itself is great, I was once a PRO member when I needed the features and the banking app today still is better than most on the market.

However, I’m unable to create savings pots (with interest rates), invest or open a joint account and after speaking through the app with the support team, they just say ‘we can’t offer you at this time’, after asking for criteria for I meet all the criteria including a good credit score but I keep getting the we can't help you … despite other banks offering me above and beyond, they won’t offer me the basic things new joiners get… the one bank I want to stay with just don’t seem to want my business.

Anybody had a similar experience and/or any ideas on how to proceed?

Really don’t want to leave the bank, but it’s looking like that is going to be my only option unfortunately.

Unfortunately they get to pick and choose who they want as customers… you’ll be stuck in criteria hell somewhere

Are you reliant on flex or always in your overdraft?

I hardly use my Flex (couple times a year) and I’ve dropped my overdraft as I wasn’t using it :pensive:

Lots of us, Monzo seems to have very different criteria to other banks. I can borrow £50k with most banks easily, Monzo won’t lend me £50. We don’t know what they are and obviously there’s no way around them, the way to proceed is to get the things you want from another bank.

Do you have your main bank account connected? And like the others said, are you in OD a lot of the month or constantly have a flex balance?
