Unable to Grant Camera/Microphone Access — Locked Out of Account

Hello,

I’ve been locked out of my Monzo account after forgetting my PIN. To unlock it, I’m required to send a verification video, but I’m unable to do so because the app can’t access my camera or microphone.

The steps provided say to go to:
Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera / Microphone > Monzo (toggle on)

However, on the latest iOS version, neither Camera nor Microphone settings list any apps, it just says “Applications that have requested access will appear here.” Monzo doesn’t appear, so I have no way to grant permission.

I’ve contacted live chat multiple times, but I keep receiving automated template responses that don’t address the issue, and now I’m not getting any replies at all. This has left me completely locked out of my account with no way to verify my identity.

I need this resolved urgently. I’m happy to send the verification video directly through chat or any other method that works, but please escalate this to a real support agent as soon as possible.

If you go to settings → apps → Monzo, does that give you the option to enable the camera and microphone?

If @Dan5’s answer doesn’t work, try deleting and reinstalling the app. That will reset all permissions.

I was about to post this. There are options to enable both camera and microphone access.
