Yeah, a statement. Open banking isn’t really a runner as who’s gonna keep £100k in their current account? I can easily clear it on the SIPP statement but not sure they really offer anything of interest to me.
Quite a surprisingly large number of financially illiterate people then. Depressing in a way.
Mind you, I suppose this forum gives a very distorted picture of how clued up people in general are about financial matters.

Might try and open a Ulster Private Account and provide my S&S ISA as proof.
See if they accept that.
I went to sign up to Mettle today and it told me to try again tomorrow - is there any fixed pattern?
Says they’re very busy at the moment and to expect delays. Probably as they give you the MTD software free.
So does Natwest/RBS. Mettle told me I should try them (via the app).

That’s true - startup account only waives the fees for a year after all. There are alternatives, but FreeAgent is a nice perk I guess, especially with MTD expanding in scope to include more people over time.
FWIW this is Ulster PCA (confusingly called Premier) vs RBS Premier. Same mindless design, just a tad darker. The OG black card was one of the most elegant I’ve seen.
Should I assume these two run the same system?
Even with app updates they get updated together and Natwest gets the features later.

Virtual cards? I remember even statements in the app showed in RBS for me before they did for Natwest

NI used to be the market of choice when new products of all kinds were being trialled as it’s (or was) largely a closed region for products.
So got my Ulster Debit Card and Select account all setup.
I’ve spoken to an agent about upgrading to the Ulster Private Account and they confirmed I can use my Investment Account with Barclays as proof of savings. So they said to do the upgrade and then they will sort everything out.
So Ulster Black Card hopefully on the way soon!!!
