That explains why I was confused last night, when I thought there must be a new buddy comedy TV show I wasnât aware of.
Fallout dropping a day early on Prime - now the 10th (US timezones) instead of the 11th.
Prime sub here we come - and all 8 episodes land at the same time for a binge-fest
Itâs 2am on the 11th for us, so the change is quite moot.
I was looking forward to having a new show to watch and discuss weekly, as thatâs what Iâve been used to from Prime TV shows. Having them drop all at once is going to mean everyone watching at their own rate and being unable to discuss with everyone because spoilers. Disappointing.
Looking forward to the new series of Clarksonâs Farm in a few weeks. Fully deserves its high IMDB rating. If you havenât watched it and youâre not a fan of Clakson, still give it a try - itâs all the other characters that make it a success.
Seems Fallout is getting really good reviews! Not watched any yet (is it even out yet?), but might be the one show I use my parentsâ Prime accounts for! Yay
Think itâs out this Friday? But USA is tonight.
Keep thinking itâs Friday already
Itâs available to watch in 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 hours.
Not that Iâm counting down.
Youâd think it should be Friday, but itâs the 11th, which is Thursday!
This means I probably wonât actually be watching it as soon as it is released, because not only will I be working all day, Thursday night is Taskmaster night, so my evening viewing is already accounted for.
Almost no video game adaptations require this because they know they wouldnât get a wide enough audience if they did. It is also way some fans complain about everything in a TV/film adaptation as they are not identical to the game.
Personally, I started Fallout 4 and did enjoy it, but after a few hours, didnât look forward to playing it so stopped. However, I did enjoy the story and I think seeing a TV show set in that world is exactly what I want.
Iâve not played them but canât imagine you would need to, there might be some parts like ooooo I know this or that, but the story should be easy to keep up with, like Last of Us.
With the calibre of the creative team involved, the show should be able to stand out fall on its own merits, Iâm sure. Maybe there will be Easter eggs or bits that are more fun if you know the game, but that would be an added extra rather than necessary knowledge. And it also cuts both ways, in that when things are changed it can make people who know the source material mad, while those new to the property donât know and donât care about whatâs different.
Tl;Dr, I trust the show will be able to stand alone.
One of my favourite shows returned last night, Race Across the World.
Totally agree!
Applications for the next series close on Friday!
No opinions or spoilers from me after watching the first few episodes.
But jeezâŚ
Just finished fallout.
Just finished Fallout.
Loved it!
Episodes 1-7 done. Final episode to watch (tomorrow)
So many questions at this stage!
I havenât played the game, does it matter?
Seeing you all rave about it makes me want to watch it!
