TV Shows!

Yes, once episode 5 has aired.

Why episode 5? :eyes:

Anyone watched this yet? I binged season 1 during my annual leave. Top notch stuff from Taiki Waititi :ok_hand:

Less of the MCU style and more in the Jo Jo Rabbit style.

Just saw the trailer for Traitors USA. I assume it was filmed back to back with the UK version as it is the same castle, the same sets and the same missions.

I think it will be interesting to see how different the show can be with pretty much everything except the cast the same as the UK version. That being said, I hope they have different challenges/twists etc if they do season two of the UK version.

Gotta admit the differences will be interesting.

The series will land as a boxset on BBC iPlayer on January 13 2023 and then be shown on both BBC Three and BBC One

Dan McGolpin, Director, iPlayer and Channels, says: ā€œFollowing the huge success of The Traitors, which has been streamed more than 28 million times on BBC iPlayer

Extremely rough estimate as not everyone watched every episode - that is over 2 million per episode with another 3 million watching live. They will be pleased with that.

Yep. 2nd most watched show on iPlayer over the festive period. Don’t quite understand why they havent announced a 2nd series yet though.

I’m binge watching ā€˜What we do in the Shadows’ great stuff, and Matt Berry at his best

Anyone watched ā€œThe Rigā€?

I didn’t think I’d get into it, but ended up watching the whole thing…

Watched episode 1 of The Rig last night. Not sure where it’s going (I’ve managed to avoid all spoilers so far!) but it’s been interesting so far! Definitely watching another episode tonight.

Finished episode 4 of The Rig last night. Felt like by the end of episode 2, it was going downhill fast but after episodes 3 and 4, I’m holding out for an interesting watch :oil_drum: :fire: :construction_worker_man: :construction_worker_woman: :seedling:

Same! I had briefly condemned it to ā€œI’ll watch it in the backgroundā€ which then rapidly became ā€œWait, what?ā€

Just watched the first episode of The Traitors US

Something about it definitely feels different. I can’t quite but my finger on it but something feels less dramatic and serious. Angus or Fergus or whatever his name was didn’t help. I don’t think the reality stars work very well as most seem to be obsessed with making the entire show about them.

Despite that, the rest of the cast is still interesting and I like who they picked as Traitors.

I also prefer Claudia as host. With Alan, it’s like he’s in-charge more which creates more of a disconnect between him and the team. With Claudia, most of the time it felt like she was part of the team and willing them all to do well. Although, Alan still does suit the show and he is still a good choice of host.

It’s still good, just not as good as the UK version.
