We just watched the finale and there was absolutely nothing special about it.

Ummm there was a bit. We know about Carols Stem Cells are now avilable to the joining, we know about the hive mind is running on the frequency, they nearly brought someone back from the joining and also carol has a Atom Bomb on her driveway!

I disagree, there were a few reveals and more questions. I like the slow burn shows if they are done well and this was imo

Severance was a slow burner with little knowledge for a long time. I enjoyed that.
Pluribus just didn’t really tick enough boxes on the finale - except for a chuckle at the very end with the crate.
I guessed the radio frequency issue on the prior episode, it was too obvious.
The stem cell info went over my head a bit but it’s not going to play a huge part of the story imo.
The atomic bomb won’t come of anything either at a guess.
Severence is also a stunning show. I can’t talk about Pluribus, I’ve no idea how to hide the text and don’t want to annoy readers with spoilers

Well yeah it did become obvious.
I think the stem cell info is going to play a big part in the story as we know that the joining cannot infect someone without taking their stem cells with the persons permission which so far all but 1 person has refused (that we know of). The fact that the joining now have Carol’s stem cells without needing to get them from her means that they will attempt to infect her with the virus at some point in Season 2. In the final they do tell her she has a month left at most before she joins them.
I think the Atom Bomb will become a big thing for Season 2. We know that the joining is building a big antenna (the size of africa) in order to spread the joining virus to another planet as all they want to do is spread the virus. I think the Atom Bomb will be used to destory the antenna in a future Season or at least damage it as Carol and Manousos want to save the world from the joining

Been re watching Father Ted in the office and forgot how funny it is.
Old shows like that are the prime era of TV in my opinion. Fawlty Towers, Blackadder, Father Ted.

Have you seen ‘Mind Your Language’? In my opinion, it fits right up there with the best!
there’s been a lot written about the demise of the studio sitcom (and for that matter sketch shows), but I don’t know if there’s just not enough good scripts being written or enough commissioners willing to take them on.
(on a similar note, I like a good quiz show, but it annoys me that they all ditched studio audiences for Covid, and never brought them back - hearing the same canned applause on the likes of University Challenge or House of Games gets a bit boring after a while, and it really sticks out when something out-of-the-ordinary happens and there’s no audience reaction)
