Trends graphs for all 📊 📈

Thanks @avb :man_bowing:

Really helpful to know. Thanks as ever!

Ah, yes I see it on the targets task … funny as sometimes it shows the month and sometimes it’s empty…

I think it should show properly when swiping if the selected accounts were the same as month when you tapped into the category feed

Yeah, if I swipe away from the original month then back again I can see the original month but no others.

just deleted the app and reinstalled . The behaviour still exists .

go into trends tap balance - press a category and screen displays for maybe half a second the image in my last screenshot , spending and target tabs show the same. Swiping between months produces the same half second display of "we can’t see anything " when you select a category

Ah but after that half a second you see your graph and transactions?

yes it displays as you would expect

Just a quick note to say that this is still broken. :pensive:

I am reminded of this lengthy post I made some years back.

The fact is that better money management impacts the poorest the most. If you put proper budgeting tools, better financial management, and other related features behind a paywall, you violate the company’s own stated code of providing these to all Monzo’s customers.

Anyone know how to edit the Excluded from target section without the triggering analyzing spending… message, then it recalculates the target amount and zeros out all of the category budgets that I have already meticulously entered.

Driving me crazy!

I wanted to edit just one bit and had this issue just a minute ago. However, now, if I click Edit next to the header of the Excluded from target table, it brings me to a page showing all the different Target elements and let’s me pick which ones to edit individually and save. This is also what I now get to if I edit via “More” on the message about where I’m at this month with my target.

My guess is they made changes to the target setup oage and the first time you edit since those changes it forces you to edit everything? But then once you’ve done this, it lets you edit each bit individually. Hopefully won’t be a regular occurrence!

True, I can also edit the category targets without upsetting everything else

The issue arises when I try to exclude a category. It, unfortunately, resets everything else.

Ah yes, I see, same here - that’s very annoying!

I’ve got a direct debit due in a few days and the exact amount is showing in the transaction feed as an upcoming payment.

However Total Upcoming in Trends is still based on an estimate (presumably based on prior payments). It would be good if this were updated with the exact amount as soon as that is known (i.e. in the days prior to a direct debit being taken).

I get paid 13 times a year on a 4 weekly rolling basis (pay date changes) therefore could the team look at adding in functionality for customers like myself?

Genuine question

It asks for your pay day, and asks what to do if this falls on a a BH or weekend, no? Is there a reason this doesn’t work? Is it because the following period won’t always be four weeks?

It’ll always be 4 weeks on a Friday typically, and that date moves backwards every month.

28th one month.

25/26th the next.

So on, as there’s only 28 days in the period, months with 30 and 31 push the date back.

I hated it, though if you balance your bills right effectively 1 period is fully yours (12 months bills, but 13 pay cycles).

It appears the 4 weeks / 28day cycle will never be implemented. The changes to interest on pots is the last straw for me. The Monzo I knew and loved has sailed away into the sunset. :frowning:

Yep same for me. Renders most of Monzo’s budgeting features pretty useless for me because it doesn’t sync up to my pay.

It is beyond frustrating. I would love to know why this has been overlooked.
