No I did think about that. But it’s totally useless except for the last couple of days of the month
At the moment I have a bit of tax credits included but 7 times that amount spent. It doesn’t really tell me how I’m doing income vs expenditure which is the point of it really
I would prefer icons with the space saved by not having the text used to show notes. The notes would help me at a glance to determine if the transaction needs recategorising without clicking into the transaction.
For me it’s only when I sent a bill split request. I add a note/description so the receiver knows what it’s for - and then it’s handy as in the main feed it shows.
Essentially keen for that snippet in the main feed to be reflected in the trend feed/category as I find it useful rather than having to go into a transaction I can potentially skip past it!

I have deliberately stuck to the options that Monzo have allowed - I know there is other stuff people want but that is already being talked about in the thread. Figured it would be interesting to see what people would pick if they had to choose one of the available options.
On custom pay periods, Monzo really needs to get them working with get paid early. That really messed up Summary for me, to the point I went back to calendar months.
I was on the fence for voting “none of the above” but didnt.
The reason i nearly voted for it is because i need to have all my accounts covered for trends to be useful. Whats the point giving me an overview of 80% of my transactions?
Even when it does i dont think trends will benefit me to change anything for the better and will be more like my year in monzo where i look at it and think ohh cool but then not care after the initial look.
Id rather look to the future and see trends turn into a budgeting feature as opposed to a look in the past thing
Budgeting is actually super different to what we’ve got here (or potentially got here). I’m looking for insight and analysis on what’s gone before. I’d be keen for projection of future spend, but not budgeting - which I think is conceptually different (and should be in the app, but should be done separately because it would distract from having finished this properly);
Yeah and thats just personal preference i suppose. Im not the sort of person that would look back and see ohh i ate 6 times at mcdonalds this month maybe i should cut back.
Similar to my year in monzo, i dont look at the trends and want to change them and dont think i ever will.
However it the intention is to replace summary and provide a budgetery functionality and a overview of spend with a look to the next month then thats something i need and will want to use as opposed to the past only view
