Traitors (TV show)

So I’m getting irrationally annoyed with Paul now, but I’m glad his game is starting to come to an end I think. The rest of the group are showing genuine emotions now, but Paul seems so cold and very Matt Hancock emotion when sitting at the table.

I’m annoyed at the faithful for just ignoring Paul. It really was the elephant in the room. He is the epitome of so much power that everyone could think internally ā€œhe’s the traitorā€ but nobody says it out loud because they are convinced they are in the minority.

I suspect it’ll be Tracey go next. She’s not an obvious choice, and I think the other two will basically eventually get banished as the game goes on.

Also: Ant is a tad annoying now… let folk speak man! He actually also does act like a traitor in saying a lot but not saying anything at all, and then saying ā€œhold on hold on hold onā€ and re-directing the chat to someone else.

Who would you put money on to win? I know it’s early, but fun to guess anyway. I think my money would be on Miles at the moment, although I think Harry has a fairly good chance too.

Watching on iPlayer and have ended up a lot behind because episode 5 for some reason was delayed in going up :sob:

Top tip - if watching on iPlayer, don’t skip the recap for this episode because for some reason it actually skips too much and you will miss the immediate resolution to the ā€˜cliffhanger’ ending of 4.

But back to five. Turned out to be a surprisingly dull episode for me. Yes, 10k was added to the prize pot, but there were no real advances in any other way. No dramas, no revelations, just a predictable slog to a predictable banishment.

Paul is so obviously a Traitor at this point that I have to believe it is almost wilful blindness from the faithful. They know the Traitors will likely be offered the opportunity to recruit at some point, so Paul is the Traitor they’ve collectively put in their pocket to banish at the last opportunity - rather than banish him now and then have to ID a newly-recruited Traitor.

I wonder if the faithful will pick up on the - oh, they can’t; they don’t know suspects do they? - fact that all the potentials for murder are women. To the viewer certainly, even if we didn’t know who the Traitors were, it would be blatantly obvious they were all men.

Of the possibilities, I’m hoping it’s not Diane because I’d like to see how her secret relationship pans out, and I’m hoping it’s not Charlotte because she’s the most attractive woman in the show, which means I’m inevitably hoping that Traychey is the victim (I’m pretending I’m writing that last name on a chalkboard…)

Last but not least, I’m hoping there’s no iPlayer delays tonight and I can start finding out some answers in roughly 15 minutes time…

Well as if it wasn’t obvious who was going at the end of episode 6 the preview seemed to spoil it by showing everyone else present in the room still alive. My only hope is that Diane pours her drink into another cup before she drinks it but I’m very concerned for her (she is my favourite along with Jaz).

A little trailer just dropped. Hopefully this comes to the iPlayer.

I’m here for Ekin-Su, she’s a liar, an actress and fake like the Louis Vuitton from China, so I hope she’s picked as a traitor because naturally she’d be great at it.

Editors know what they’re doing when they cut trailers like that.

I hope there may be a shock twist coming. Surely at least some of the Faithful noticed and found it rather suss how much time Harry, Paul and Miles were spending in the library. Especially with Paul’s not at all dodgy excuse of having to find his water bottle (seriously, why has only Jazatha Christie seen through him?). But I digress; I think there will be a shock twist because the Traitors were told they had to murder before the end of the night, but the bells were chiming before Miles swapped drinks with Diane - so the production team could say the night ended and they didn’t kill anyone in time, so Diane lives! It’s also possible that Diane doesn’t drink - the look on her face when they were swapping the drinks was super suss, like she didn’t trust why Miles wanted to do it at all. So maybe she doesn’t actually drink her, drink, so doesn’t die.

Very celeb heavy mirrors the UK in terms of format so far.

Just caught up to episode 5 :broken_heart: :pensive:

I am on episode six too. Jaz needs to make his move or he’s going to get murdered. He knows what’s up and I get he’s being strategic but it’s too little. I think though I agree episode 7 will not be great for the traitors after that display

I think they will… the problem is he is not telling anyone! I suspect he will do though after the chat with Paul in which he basically outed himself and Harry as traitors.

Oh yeah I had forgotten about that. It was so sly for Paul to tell Jaz that Harry had told him what Jaz had been saying.

I agree but then again, both Harry and Paul happily turned on Ash. Once you’ve set yourself up as someone who will turn on others, I think you are fair game to have that happen to you. I don’t think the traitors will last this season as they aren’t working together they are just selling each other out at the first opportunity

The Traitors needs to air on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Wednesday through to Friday is unacceptable.

The long night of Schroedinger’s Diane will soon be coming to an end. Bit scary. I’m not ready to let her go.

Anyone else watching The Trust on Netflix? I’m really enjoying it and it has a lot of elements of The Traitors in it but a different spin on it.

I can’t wait to see how the traitors play this one out tonight and whether they end up swaying the all important vote.

And even better, Parliament should finish this voting just before The Traitors is on BBC1
