If you’re adding to Monzo’s ISA then you can’t be adding to another isa of the same type elsewhere in the same tax year so the bar should still apply?
For the monzo staff, if you transfer in an active ISA that you’ve already contributed to this year from elsewhere, does the bar know what you’ve already contributed and update once the transfer is complete?
Those on Android with an open account should be able to see the option to transfer now. Thanks for helping us spot this and get it fixed. Let us know if you have any other feedback
I’m referring to other types of ISA (Lifetime ISA for example).
And as part of the transfer process it asked me how much I had contributed so far this tax year in my other S&S ISA and that has been removed from the bar total.
One thing I can’t see from this thread is what the interest rate is? I can see fees… but I don’t have a lot to save so the higher the interest the better.
It’s stocks and shares rather than cash so there is no interest rate. You just have to hope the value increase by a decent amount but it all depends on what the market does. You could even end up with less than you put in if things don’t go well. Generally you shouldn’t use this if you’ll need the money in the next 5/10 years to ride out the ups and downs.
Created, and request made to transfer my existing S&S ISA. All very smooth, apart from my momentary confusion about having to open the new S&S ISA first
A 25 year projection is nice, but for those of us that may not have 25 years left on the planet, a scrollable duration, say back to 15 years, would be nice.
As investments should be part of a long term plan, I don’t see the value of a minimum below 10 years, should this be adopted.
