I’ve started this thread only so that I can post my best ever score in the Guardian’s Thursday quiz.
I had a shocker last week, but this week……
It’s here if anyone thinks they can do better.

10/15
Which is suprising, I feel I read a lot of news but some of that was, well, news to me!
I love this quiz and do it every week.
I’ve already forgotten my score from this morning I think it was 11/15
My proudest moment was the week I posted a comment where I played on a commonly seen complaint and the quiz writer replied to say that I’d made him laugh.
10/15, of which some were complete guesses!
7/15, I guessed most just.
Well, after a blistering 4/4 start, I ended up on 7/15
9/15 - lucky guesses. R-
I got an 11 with some very lucky guesses
8, started strongly and then faded with guesses
11, one of my better efforts.
Some good general knowledge, current affairs, and at least two educated guesses (the PG film and Brian May)
It’s the first time I’ve ever seen that quiz.
7/15
Sadly I am not Anne Hegerty.
10/15
Annoyed by the Anne Boleyn question, where I managed to get it down to 50/50 (I remembered the rhyme) but went with the wrong one.
Few more near misses too, where I considered the right answer and veered away from it. Grr. Had I not doubted myself I could’ve been claiming 12/15.
Add the following to your bookmarks and you’ll be sorted for every week hence:
I did terribly
Though I did find out if you double click reveal without selecting an answer it’ll mark it as correct
I haven’t seen the quiz, but I can guarantee in a second I know what this question is asking.
Boo. A disgraceful 10/15 for me today.
As always, the ‘wrong’ answers are almost as insightful as the right ones. Oh look, someone else remembers Gene Loves Jezebel too! (Blurred to prevent people cheating before taking the quiz.)
