Have a read through of the original blog post here and make sure you’re happy with the more specific terms:

We’re still working on some parts of the account and so, for now:

Monzo to Monzo payments through the Contacts tab do not work.

Topping up your account by debit card, Apple Pay and Android Pay will not be available.

Monzo.me does not work.

Customer support through the in-app chat will initially only be available from 9am–6pm on weekdays when more people are available to help diagnose and fix issues. It will also take us longer to resolve your problems because we’ll need to investigate issues we’ve never seen before. By the time we launch more widely, we aim to have 24/7 support, just like now.

iOS only to begin with (the Android app is approximately a couple of months behind but will catch up before we fully launch).

The debit card you receive initially with the current account will need to be replaced at some point later this year with an updated version.

You will download a separate Monzo app for the current account and your existing prepaid card will continue to work like normal. In the future, you’ll be able to use just one app and close your prepaid account.

As you’re also a crowdfunding investor - be aware that you need to know the below as well:

What if I’m an investor?

Firstly, thank you! If you invested in the crowdfunding round earlier this year, we promised you priority access to the current account and we will of course be honouring that. You now have two options:

Register now — as an investor, we will ensure you are invited to get a current account this quarter in the first group of people. However, your account will still be subject to the limitations outlined above and you won’t get your limited edition Investor debit card (because they’re not quite ready.)

Wait a little — as soon as we’re confident enough to roll out current accounts en-masse and the limited edition Investor debit cards are ready, we’ll make sure you’re in the very first group to receive a card and current account. This will likely be in 3–4 months.

Just to clarify in both circumstances you will receive your investor card once they’re ready!

If you’re happy with this then go ahead and register your interest!

Vodafone - the list of merchants says that you cannot add your details online. I successfully did after the first CA release. Can anyone confirm that it worked for them and we can cross it off the list?

Have my invite today and my train booked for tomorrow from Manchester to spend the hour in our great capital (literally getting to London at 4:50pm and escaping 7:20-8pm-ish. As I’m coming on my own, what is the process like? Presentation, then sorting out? Or is it get in a line, process and leave? Just curious.

Good presentation, download Testflight when you get near the end after you get your email invite and then the app which will have a white logo, then just fill in details, wait for verification, and then ask for card

Roughly - get scanned at the door, grab a drink, see a presentation, receive a testflight invitation, id checks, pick up card, chat or leave

Presentation.
Sign up through the app (take ID with you: passport or driving license, you’ll need to it complete sign up in app).
You’ll be invited through TestFlight (ensure it’s installed on your iPhone).
Once you’ve completed verification, get a card from a helper, and you’ll be set up.

Now, not to rain on my own parade, but did other peoples current account invite come from invite@eventbrite.com ? It does state

Hello,
You are invited to the following event:

CURRENT ACCOUNT ROLLOUT EVENTS

All the information; etc etc.

But then says near the bottom;

NB: You must have received an invitation to this event from Monzo

This is why I am checking before I make a 400 mile (there and back) trip.
