I had a client once who sent a compliant about Natwest Corporate Banking being down.
I spoke to him and I asked “where you using the site during the outage?”
They replied “no I was on holiday but what if I was and it was down”
I was left speechless

Just reading the X posts and yep as you said, people can’t buy food or top up electric. Did see a post however that Monzo replied to which has a persons full accounts details on. Ooops

Or at least an alternate payment method. However a second account is only useful if it has enough funds to pay for what you want at the time your primary bank is down.

Reminds me of when some guy was kicking off really really bad after buying a charger from the O2 shop and blaming Monzo for setting up a direct debit.
All he had to do was turn off repeating payment but he was having none of it.
O2 is naturally a repeating payment service so it’s understandable why it was auto applied, but the level of drama he made of it was unreal.
What if that’s down too
