Don’t know if the right thread, but just interested to see what prices people are getting for car insurance nowadays.
Just managed to get mine for £438 which I’m happy about, considering mine was £670 last year. In my mid-twenties so still seen by young by insurance companies I believe
£692 was my most recent renewal with Allianz. I’ve since had a crash though (my fault), so the next renewal is probably going to be painful. I’m late 30s.
£371 for mine and that’s with someone hitting me back in 2024 and Aviva only being prepared to settle knock for knock But then again I’m late 50s so age might be helping
Paid fully comprehensive with Allianz (Gold) £551 with European cover up to 6 months in a policy year, third party to drive other cars, Legal cover included.
Previously with Axa had paid £764 the year before for a cheaper, less powerful older car than I currently have.
6 years NCD, no points on license.
Adding the wife would throw it into £620 but didn’t put her as she never bothers to touch it .
I am in my 30s.
I do about 12k miles a year.
Covered for Social, domestic and pleasure use, including commuting and business use.
This is just a massive coincidence. So I’m reading Sky News on the train and they say about the banks that get the most complaints and the average payout.
I kid you not as I’m reading that I get a text from my brother who has put in a complaint about Lloyds
We had the grand opening of Popeyes yesterday in the city centre. They even had a Louisiana style brass band playing outside I’ve yet to try their chicken.
Another car question - what are people paying for breakdown cover and with which company? Why are the prices so significantly different? I looked at RAC and Green Flag, and Green Flag was about £100 for all the added benefits
