Isn’t that ‘just’ the virtual card from pots?

It is, but falls into the “launched as part of 4.0 when it lands properly next week” hypothesis…

Also very glad it’s shipping season.

@AlanDoe could we entice Mike to do an AMA? :eyes::pray:

So we can ask him what else is to come?

Good plan

We can always ask

I’m actually hoping to ask how he’s focused and increased the throughput of the mono-rep product teams…

But perhaps we should just ask for his roadmap :joy:

True, it’s usually feature flags these days.

We will have to keep our eyes peeled next week, and possibly for even longer if they’re using a Controlled Feature Rollout.

I’ll reserve full judgement until then, although I would expect hints to start appearing now if there really is a major feature launching next week.

Considering the insane delays and expenses of shipping at the moment :eyes:

There’s a really annoying bug atm where transactions paid for with virtual cards from pots don’t go into summary/budgets so you could spend £100 on a virtual card, categorise it and it won’t take £100 out of your budget for the month.

Too slow…

Summary and budgets will only work for you main account/card.

Linking a VC to a Pot is more akin to envelope budgeting so your ‘budget’ is set by the starting pot balance.

Different strokes for different folks though.

Down the line though I think your bug will be addressed in Trends where spending across multiple sources (accounts/pots) can be viewed at once, or at least I think so if/when budgeting is added to this screen.

You’re right - I’m pretty sure that’s the plan, and it will be better than simply incorporating Pots into Summary as it will also work for external accounts (I think?).

4.0.0 made the app run a lot smoother for me! I’d been having performance issues in the app for months up to that release.

4.1.0 seems to have regressed a little bit in terms of smoothness/lag though :slightly_frowning_face:. Hopefully it’ll be better in the coming weeks again (it’s still better than it was prior to 4.0.0).

Still unable to add scheduled payments to pay from a pot. It acts as if I’m not subscribed to Plus or Premium.

So to confirm, you’re going to the payments screen, scheduled, choosing the payment from there and then choosing the pot you want it to come from?

Yeah exactly that, except once I select the payment there is no option to pick a pot to pay it from.

If I head to the pot > manage > scheduled payments > add payment > all of my scheduled payments are greyed out and if I select one I get a pop up telling me that paying from a pot is done via virtual cards and that’s a Monzo Plus/Premium feature. The pop up then tells me to learn more or close. Clicking learn more then takes me to my Monzo plus tab.
